Halloween is upon us - my how the time has flown by! I guess I will just keep my usual mask on for tonight's trick or treat at the door.
We had a lovely trip to Lancaster, PA where my husband's brother and his three married daughters live. While it is a long drive - 460 miles (not km) one way, we had a wonderful time visiting with Paul and his family. And at mid-October, the fall colors were beautifully displayed on hills in New York state and Pennsylvania. If one is to travel that far in a day, fall is a good time to go, it is not hot, yet the scenery is attractive.
Now that November is here, I have several functions to prepare for: the 1st one at my church, Trinity United on Maitland Ave., for the Social Club, Nov. 14th at 2:00 p.m.; a slide presentation on The Northwest Passage cruise taken last year.
The 2nd one; Ottawa Guild of Potters Fall Sale at Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd, Orleans,
starting Nov. 17th at 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Nov. 18, 19 and 20 - all day. Admission free.
The 3rd one; Ottawa Authors & Artisans 2011 Fall Fair at Jack Purcell Centre, Rm 203 (2nd fl), 320 Jack Purcell Lane (Elgin & Lewis). 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
And when I am done with all this, it will be time to prepare for Xmas. Hope to see you at one of these functions.
